Rolling and Flattening
CFW provides most metals and alloys in flat and formed shapes from .00025" thick. The products include bare, insulated, and plated products in a "flat" wire, ribbon, or square configuration. SPC testing can be performed using laser micrometers to assure that dimensional requirements are met.
Applications include:
- Lead ribbon
- Voice coil winding
- Bonding
- Microelectronic interconnects
- Catheters and other medical products
Most metals and alloys can be produced with a maximum of a 50:1 ratio while maintaining a minimum corner radius. The material and the requested dimension determine the thickness and width tolerance.
