California Fine Wire operates several rolling mills to produce ultra fine flat wire in a variety of alloys ranging from Gold to Stainless Steel. The mills are precision ground and operate dry to insure the cleanest, oil-free wire surface. Our dimensional capability for ribbon wire ranges in thickness from 0.0002” to 0.050” and in width from 0.002” to 0.100”, depending on the alloy. Most metals and alloys can be produced with a maximum of a 50:1 ratio while maintaining a minimum corner radius. The material and the requested dimension determine the thickness and width tolerance. Flat wire can also be plated to your specifications with a variety of materials (see related links).
