Calculating Resitance in Ohms/ft

This formula is used to calculate the resistance (OHMS/FT) when the resistivity (R) is known for that material.

The general formula:

OHMS/FT = R ÷ (d)² or W = R ÷ (d)²
Where:

R = the resistance per circular mill foot (@ .001"),
(or R = the resistivity of the material)
d = the diameter of the wire,
(d)² = the diameter squared,
OHMS/FT = the resistance value desired.
(or W = the resistance value desired)

We know that the resistivity of the material is 800 ohms. Now to find the resistance values for various diameters.
